About the Law Office of Ronald P. Ackerman

Attorney Ron Ackerman has spent his career defending and advocating for the rights of federal employees. He founded the Law Office of Ronald P. Ackerman so he could offer the unique perspective that comes from a long career in law, working as a federal employee himself, and having served in union leadership.

His career began as a Special Agent with the Department of Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS). His agency later became a part of the Department of Homeland Security when it was established in the aftermath of the 9/11 terror attacks in New York City.

During this time, he emerged as a leader within the American Federation of Government Employees union, representing INS employees and handling key union legal matters that included labor arbitrations, negotiations, and lobbying efforts.

Dedicated to Protecting Employees’ Rights

After years of experience in union matters, Attorney Ackerman went to law school and was subsequently admitted to the California Bar. His legal career has been built on representing federal employees across the country.

Protecting the rights of federal employees requires knowledge of how to deal with everything from the Merit Systems Protection Board to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. We work on issues that range from security clearance applications and DOHA appeals to discrimination lawsuits.

From our California office, we serve people throughout the United States. Call us at (310) 878-4442 or just fill out our online contact form to get in touch.
